Cross of Christ School operates with the belief that athletics are intended to bring glory to our Savior (1 Corinthians 10:31). Christians are to be a salt and a light to the world around us (Matthew 5:13-16), and this should be reflected in our athletics. We must teach our students to play sports and to live life based on God’s Word rather than from a worldly perspective. We also expect our students to be “humble in winning and gracious in losing.” We want all students to feel encouraged to participate in the athletics we offer in our school. Involvement in sports also helps our students learn about teamwork, fair-play, leadership, and camaraderie, along with the development of self-confidence.
A physical form must be submitted for each child to participate in sports. Student participation may be discontinued due to academics. The teacher will accurately present the family with information, in a timely manner.
